Sport

 

Sport is highly valued at Casino Christian School and students participate in a variety of sports throughout the year. We strongly promote physical activity, team work, leadership, confidence and fun though our sports programs.

 

Separate to PE lessons, weekly sport runs for one hour and forty minutes each week, and children participate in a variety of sports and competitions throughout the year.

 

Every student is also encouraged to attend and participate in the school-wide swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals.  These carnivals can lead to zone and state selection for Christian Schools.

 

Students with a high level of skill in certain sports also have the opportunity to be selected for a variety of team sports representing the school at a zone and state level competitions. Selection for these teams is possible through the school teams that participate in the various Christian schools gala days, held annually for most team sports, e.g. touch football, soccer, netball, AFL, and cricket.
