Casino Christian School – Vision Project Update

Our Vision

At Casino Christian School, we believe education is more than academics. It is about shaping character and nurturing students to grow in their faith in Christ. The Vision Project is our whole-school framework for supporting positive behaviour. It provides consistent expectations across every area of school life, grounded in a biblical worldview.

Our Core Values

Our school community is built on four biblical values, which shape our culture and guide every interaction:

  • Compassion  “Be kind and compassionate to one another” (Ephesians 4:32).
We show Christ’s sacrificial love by acting with kindness, mercy, and empathy.
  • Integrity  “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’” (Matthew 5:37).
We seek to live honest, transparent lives, doing what is right even when no one is watching.
  • Respect  “In humility value others above yourselves” (Philippians 2:3–4).
We honour the worth of each person as made in the image of God.
  • Responsibility  “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10).
We take ownership of our actions and steward our gifts faithfully.

Together, these values form the foundation of our Vision Project and are taught, practised, and reinforced in the same way as academic learning.

The Streamlined Behaviour Matrix

Below is our Streamlined Matrix 2025, which outlines clear and positive statements that help students live out our values every day:

Attachment 1 Vision Values

Weekly Mini-Lessons

To help embed these values, every week in Term 4 our staff will deliver short mini-lessons that focus on one or two statements from the Matrix. This ensures consistency across the school and gives students practical ways to live out the Vision Project.

We encourage parents to also discuss these focus statements at home each week. Look out for them each week on School Stream.

  • This week: We encourage each other.
  • Next week: We put others first.

Fathers Day Breakfast

Last Friday, we had the privilege of celebrating our wonderful dads with a special Father’s Day Breakfast at CCS. The event was a fantastic success, with more than 100 students and their dads gathering together to enjoy a delicious meal and share in the morning’s fellowship. Our lawn was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful conversations as families connected and children proudly spent time with their dads. A huge thank you goes to our incredible P&F Committee, who worked tirelessly to cater the event and ensure everyone was well fed and cared for. It was a truly memorable morning of community and celebration!

CAPA Night

Last night our school community came together for a wonderful evening of creativity and talent at our CAPA Night. Students from both Primary and Secondary showcased their gifts in music, drama, dance and art, delighting the audience with their performances. It was an incredible opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students, and we are so proud of each one who took part. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr Wade for his leadership and passion in coordinating the evening, as well as to the many staff who worked behind the scenes to make the event such a success.

Primary School Updates

Friday Enrichment – FEAST Program

Some of our primary students have been enjoying the FEAST program each Friday for Enrichment with Mrs Ranger. FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) by OzHarvist is a hands-on learning experience that encourages students to explore healthy eating, sustainability and the joy of cooking. Each week, students work together to prepare simple, nutritious recipes while learning about where food comes from and how to reduce waste. The program not only builds practical cooking skills but also promotes teamwork, responsibility and creativity. Under Mrs Ranger’s guidance, students are developing confidence in the kitchen while discovering how food choices can positively impact both their health and the environment.

Year 4 R & R Day

We were blessed with perfect day of sunshine and breeze, and this helped to make a very enjoyable and positive day.

Starting at the Rail Trail at Witton’s Road and ending the day at Crawford Park, students were challenged to demonstrate resilience all the while deepening their relationship and participating in mini work-shop sessions related to friendship and conflict resolution. Here’s some photos from the day!  We’re looking forward to taking some of this learning and experiences with us as we create stronger and deeper connections.

Thanks Mrs Ranger, Mrs Rixon, Mr Coutts, Mr Frahm, Mrs Day and Mr Denton

Spring Social Recap

On Tuesday, 2nd September, Casino Christian School hosted its annual Primary Spring Social, and what a joyful night it was! Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 gathered in the hall to celebrate the season with music, games, and plenty of dancing. The evening was filled with laughter and excitement as friends enjoyed time together in a safe and welcoming environment. Colourful masks decorated by the students and lively tunes added to the festive atmosphere, while our staff ensured everything ran smoothly. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to build friendships and create happy memories that will last well beyond the night.
